
Welcome! I’m a recreational runner hoping that a more natural approach to the sport will help me avoid injury and stay fit. I recently moved to the Boston area from Vermont after graduate school, and found myself stranded at an office desk with fewer options for getting outside and staying active. I completed my first and only marathon (so far, hopefully!) in 2007 in Vermont with 3 wonderful friends, but I’ve been battling a lingering injury ever since. I’m hoping that transitioning to barefoot running will improve my form and allow me to increase my training. I also noticed that relatively few of the barefoot running blogs out there are authored by women, so I’m hoping to add another female perspective to the mix. I was inspired to blog about all this by my friend Sarah, whose blog, vermontography, makes me smile! Thanks for reading!
