My friend Sarah at Daily Nibbles kept getting questions about barefoot running, so she asked me to provide some quick answers. I’m definitely not an expert on the subject, but I did my best to address some of the basics based on my experiences over the past few months. Check out the interview here.

One thing that helps in preparing for barefoot running is doing some barefoot *walking* first to help recalibrate the soles of the feet. Just a few minutes on natural surfaces is helpful, but if you can fit in a barefoot hike of an hour or so a day or two before you run, that will be even more helpful.
